With UW Full Fibre Broadband - How to watch your favourite Sky, Virgin & Freeview Channels

Undoubtedly, the content such as TV channels, films, sports, science, kids, history etc. are very good, but they come at a costly price which is obfuscated.

This is a very common theme that I come across. As a general observation, users like the TV channels, they say the broadband is average at best, they really dislike the poor customer service but absolutely hate the annual price hikes and yearly battle with the hardened customer service to resist the continuous price increases.

The solution is relatively simple.

You can simply select and buy the TV channels directly to suit your own preferences.
There are several ways to achieve what you want. This then gives you more control and minimises your overall costs when paired with a better performing, lower cost Broadband such as the gold-standard UW-500 (FTTP) low congestion network.


FreeView


You may not realise but hundreds of channels are now available through FreeView. There are over 300 TV channels, plus radio channels.

These can be watched on any modern Smart TV, PC, Mac, Laptop, Tablet, iPad, iPhone with a good internet connection/broadband.
If you don’t have a modern TV (say less than 5 years old) then you simply need to Smart TV adaptor to give your old TV modern SMART features and watch FreeView. There are many adaptors available, but the Amazon Firestick appears to be a favourite

The Sky Puck TV Box is £23/Mth which provides 150 Channels and can be purchased directly from Sky. You need to be careful where you look to find the best and most suitable product for you

You can purchase a subscription with NowTV with a wide range of content. SKY subscriptions are available, such as all SKY Sports channels for around £25/mth of Sky Entertainment for £6.99/mth. You’ll need a SMART device to watch and most modern TV’s are capable
